Why now

Every other reach medium has already moved.

Digital audio went programmatic a decade ago. Connected TV followed. Out-of-home is currently experiencing a massive programmatic boom - bringing in net-new advertisers and enabling last-minute campaigns that used to be impossible. Our sister company, Pattison Outdoor, has experienced this revenue transformation firsthand.

But broadcast radio - still the largest reach medium in audio - has been stuck waiting on the sidelines. Why? Because programmatic technology simply didn’t work with traditional radio automation and traffic systems.

Nobody else was solving the problem. So Pattison Media did the heavy lifting to make it happen.

Programmatic buyers don't buy spots—they buy impressions. To bring broadcast radio into the programmatic ecosystem, we needed a way to measure that audience in real time. Resonate delivers this by leveraging the same methodology as Pattison’s Validate attribution product.

For over five years, Validate has successfully measured thousands of campaigns across 250+ stations using historical streaming data. Resonate simply takes that battle-tested methodology and applies it instantly—giving buyers the real-time impression data they demand, built on a model they can trust.

Resonate sent a real-time bid request to programmatic networks. Google DV360 accepted. The ad inserted into WideOrbit and aired minutes later.

It was one small spot on The Peak. One giant leap for an industry that's been waiting for it.
